Elevator pitch 1

I plan on creating a business with the extendo charge. The extendo charge will allow you to take battery life from your friends phone and add it on your phone when your battery gets low. Each person will have to download our app that I created which will allow you to choose exactly how much percentage you want to transfer over. My business will create revenue from the cords we sell and the purchase of the app. I will also create revenue by allowing different types of advertisements on the app I created.

  1. Hey Zach!

I think this is most definitely a solution to a very common problem for all of us. We live in a world where everyone is attached to their phone 24/7 and battery life is an ever going issue. Because this is such a common problem, I can see sales for a business such as this, but I am not sure for how long or by how large.

Because this is such a common issue, many people have already found solutions to this. Car charges, portable battery packs, and wall chargers are already well into the market. Emphasizing on the portable batter chargers, how would your invention compete? Also, because there is an app involved I see this may only make your invention much too complicated for most folks who are looking for the simplest solution to charge their phones. Lastly, who is really nice enough to give away their battery life? If my friends are to ask me to steal my battery life I will most likely say no, simply because I have enough reasons to keep my phone alive.

Nonetheless, as I stated before, I can still see sales for this product because it is such a common problem, but it might require some serious marketing. I also see that your would want to immediately patent this, so as to not lose out sales to organizations who can easily steal and replicate your invention.

Great job presenting your business, it was a very well presentation! Your thoughts are definitely moving in the right direction! Keep up the good work!

  2. First of all, I think your idea is very innovative and that idea has honestly never crossed my mind before! Your presentation was great. However taking battery life from someone else's phone rather than using already-existing solutions to the problem you presented is less efficient. Instead of jumping into a patent, I suggest more extensive research. Good job though! You can check out my blog post here: http://stthach.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-1.html

  3. Hey Zach! Thanks for sharing your pitch, I liked it a lot. Leeching charge from friend's phones is something I myself have thought about a lot. In my opinion, your biggest issue would be technical. How much research have you done to see if its feasible technically? Also, what would your solution offer over other devices like portable chargers? These will be important things to consider when developing your business plan. I've had to think a lot about this stuff to for my pitch, which I would appreciate if you would check out over here! http://jlopez3003.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-1.html

    Anyways, good job!

  4. Hey Zach!

Great job on your video! Props for memorizing your script. It was interesting how you already had a general idea how your product would work. I consider you do more research on the innovation to get a better idea of how it would work. I have wanted something like this for a while. Best of luck.
